searching for a good read

i was on the net last week whilst busy completing assignments when i suddenly read the overview of this one book entitled THE INVENTION OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE by shlomo sand (read:zand). it was originally written in hebrew. i have never had this urge of wanting to read a book as badly as this time around.

ps:maturity puzzles me.

boxed

and so i was thinking, about thinking out of the box. you see, many attempt to be different but ended up just to be as indifferent as ever. it's like this. you are in a box, and you got yourself out of it but you ended up in another box. and you remain inside.

for an example, the late yasmin ahmad, she was extraordinary. she go against the odds of typical malay films and land herself best director award. her first movie 'sepet' was somewhat different but her movies after 'sepet' was in a way very much like 'sepet'. and so she remained in the 'sepet' box. it's just another box you see.

so we should get out of the box, flatten in and keep it somewhere safe. because i believe we should go wander around to other boxes but it is very important to have a fall back. just suggesting.

a calling

i'd call it a calling because it's more than cravings.

i was doing a word search puzzle back then wellington. and this new page was about spanish cities. as i was doing it, i came across barcelona. then and there, i had this urge of wanting to go there. never i've heard or aware of anything about barcelona, except for the giant FCbarcelona. still, after a year, that wants is still firing in me. i am confusing right? how can a word search puzzle bring such a compulsion in my life??
